I thought it was rare until I found out just about every other kid got 99 or 98 (which is just a hair's diff) and so many kids who got 99 on 2 tests, so it seems like the norm here. [ Reply | More

Any good mom does de facto prep. Everytime you read a story and talk about it. Whenever you go to the grocery store and DC helps you get X number of limes and Y lemons, etc. Talking about why this happens or that. Exposure to the world. Decent preschool. That's prepping, and we all should be prepping. [ Reply | More

I think my DD is brilliant at 3yo is reading and doing basic math on her own. Has a memory like an elephant and is constantly making the most astute observations about life. That being said, I will prep b/c so much is riding on it. Can't afford private. Failing school. Don't want to move 1.5 hours away from my job and spend my life commuting. [ Reply | More
