How old are your kids? We have 2.5 yo twins and a third coming in August. Need a minivan, but refuse to get one. We are going with a 2009 Honda Pilot. Really want a third row of seats that can be used if necessary. The Volvo is a nicer looking car, but don't know if it can really handle your size needs. [ Reply | More

This is a dumb question, but the 7 yo is out of booster by now, correct? I think an SUV with a third row (even if small) is fine. [ Reply | More

I just went through the same thing last fall..Wanted the Volvo, DH said No (he is 6'4") not enough head room etc..We have three kids 7-5-3 and we go back and forth between CT & NY..I crawled through; test drove & kicked the tires with the kids & their seats. I ended up getting the Honda Odyssey, I loved the Volvo but I couldn't fit the kids plus what ever equipment the kids needed like car seats, skis, bikes, beach chairs etc. After driving the Honda Odyssey for 7 plus months, I have to say I love it there is plenty of room and the kids have their own space and DON'T FIGHT!! Plus I officially got my first speeding ticket in it and didn’t think I was going that fast.. l.o.l. Good luck I know what you’re going through and it's not any fun.. [ Reply | More
