We were told someone wants to make an offer on our house and the agent wants to come over to present it. Seriously, why? Just give us the offer and dont waste my time... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

they can easily phone it in sounds like agent is in bed with other agent hoping for a quick commission. offer is probably not full price. [ Reply | More ]

Quick commission? How bizarre that you jump to this conclusion. The agent is performing her job - offers should always be presented in person unless there is a prohibitive reason from doing so. [ Reply | More ]

OP here, thanks. I know this used to be the way, but it seems silly now frankly. We are all busy and to spend any more time with agents than I have to when I have 3 kids and a lot going on, is too much imo. [ Reply | More ]

just tell them no, you will only take the offer over the phone or on the fax. Life is too short. [ Reply | More ]

So you are referring to the Buyers Agent who wants to present? You can say no to that - they are sending in a lowball and want her to give an explanation for it. [ Reply | More ]

If I were getting an offer on my house I would love an Agent to break it down and explain it to me. [ Reply | More ]

Used to be that all offers were presented in person. Agent would be see as remiss if they didn't do it that way. [ Reply | More ]

they probably are going to really low ball you, and they want to explain why the market has changed. [ Reply | More ]
