If your childs falls and gets a cut in the head that requires stitches, do they need a tetanus shot? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

tetanus boosters should happen every 10 years once you are immunized. people get a booster when they are injured because it has often been over 20 yrs or they cannot remeber when they last had a shot. for dcs, the ped should have the records, so may not be necessary [ Reply | More

if you stab yourself with something rusty and haven't had a booster within 5 years, they will want to do it again, just in case. [ Reply | More
