does anyone who moved to bkln from manhattan feel like there's a better sense of community / easier to make friends. i'm a new mom and feel really isolated. the women i've met are nice but we have little in common and people are sooo busy. need a change.... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think it's pretty easy in Brooklyn. I have lots of casual mom friendships at playgrounds, etc.--not best friends, but people I enjoy seeing. [ Reply | More

I didn't find it easy. Even if my kids were playing with other kids on the playground, I didn't feel like the mom would chat. I only met people thru people I knew, and then later, school. [ Reply | More
