I just read the insideschools review of LL and somebody says in the comments that she hopes that the new principal is going to change the policy that the use of hand-held video games are allowed during indoor recess. I am trying to understand why video games during recess is a bad thing. Any ideas? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it's indoor recess. I think kids should be allowed to do whatever they want during their downtime. [ Reply | More ]

I have a problem with kids bring expensive toys to school myself. For a variety of reasons. [ Reply | More ]

Yes, but leave that up to the parents. So your kid is not going to being his Nintendo DS. That's fine. But telling everybody not to do this that's weird. [ Reply | More ]

I disagree. For example, my high school had a smoke shack out back. I think that was a horrible policy. [ Reply | More ]

teacher and this is common throughout the school system. It causes too many problems where kids lose them, they get broken, other children want to play with them. [ Reply | More ]

okay. that makes sense but how is this an argument to forbid video games? If they lose it tough luck. The school is not going to take the responsibility. [ Reply | More ]

yes, so what? It's the child's responsibility. Hardly a reason to prohibit video games in specific. What if a child brings some other toy to school? [ Reply | More ]
