DH is wearing black socks and black sneakers when he wears shorts right now. It's not very attractive---he will not wear anything between the toe, and has an aversion to "mandals" what can he wear that looks better and is more comfortable? i have no clue..boat shoes? These are worn with no socks, right? he's fairly preppy/basic in his dress, not trendy.thanks. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

That's so funny, but I've no suggestions. You're kind of lucky. My dh doesn't even match his socks unless we're going to Gymboree! [ Reply | More ]

black sneakers are not preppy and these are your first problem. White sneakers with white socks would be fine. [ Reply | More ]

Geox loafers or driving shoes. No socks needed (they breathe through the soles of the shoe). [ Reply | More ]

Peds? On men? For something other than golf? I think not. [ Reply | More ]

Not peds, but sport socks. In other words not dress socks pulled up to the knees. [ Reply | More ]

They make low socks that are not peds -- but not up the ankle. [ Reply | More ]

I have several types of below or just ankle high men's socks. All my cycling socks are short like that and I have some regular cotton ones, too. I hate the higher ones but can't go barefoot in sneakers or they get putrid. [ Reply | More ]

Converse -- either the slip-on kind or the low ones with laces (Jack Purcels or All Stars) with low socks. My DH also had a beat up pair of grey New Balance sneakers that look okay with shorts -- they're the basic running shoe model. [ Reply | More ]

Or navy -beige or brown. Cycling socks are best and come in tons of options. Get to Paragon. Also check Kenneth Cole; they must have an option. Make him feel attractive, not clueless and he'll surprise you w/compliance. [ Reply | More ]
