Please be honest - when did you stop breastfeeding? It is truly making me crazy (my one side is at least 5x the size of my other side and my body continues to hurt), but I will feel guilty if I stop...Baby is 6 wks [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Haven't stopped yet but I plan to at 14 weeks when I go back to work. My job just does not allow time for pumping. [ Reply | More ]

I often wonder what women who can pump at work do for a living. My office offers "pumping rooms" in the nurse's office. But they are always empty. No one actually has the time to leave their desk to go pump. [ Reply | More ]

me too! I always wondered that! I ended up not going back to work and this was actually a factor. I thought about my office but then realized that the door didn't lock. HR suggested the bathrooms!! [ Reply | More ]

nonresponsive answer but did you talk to a lactation consultant - they can give some really practical and helpful advice (and to answer your question, I'm still nursing my 2 1/2 you but that's only because he really loves it and it was really easy for me -easier to nurse than not to). I was completely ready to give up the first month or 2. Seeing an LC helped tremendously as did just sticking with it a bit longer. By about 2-2 1/2 mos everything started falling into place, it became easy and i was able to just enjoy the bonding with my baby. Now at 7mos couldn't imagine not. Plan to wean at 1yr. I'd see a LC and give it at least another month. GL! [ Reply | More ]

I stopped at 4 mo. DH was not happy about this but, he did not manage to grow boobs and pitch in so formula it was. We have a beautiful, healthy baby with great immunity. Pumping at work was not working for me so I made the decision to wean. No regrets. [ Reply | More ]

still nursing at 6 months-but never really had pain/discomfort. a LC might be a good idea, I went to a really supportive bf group through the hospital at which I gave birth-that was nice too bc other moms gave helpful practical suggestions-you might look into that? [ Reply | More ]
