late to be asking this, i know, but were we supposed to get dd's preschool teacher (+ asst. teacher) a gift or card? any ideas/suggestions? ...last day of school is tomorrow, btw. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

yes (class parents didn't collect for a group gift?). you can get gift cards at Starbucks in the morning (or at Barnes & Noble now -- they'll also have cards) or you can give cash. [ Reply | More

I'm not in NYC any more, but I gave $100 for 3 teachers (to class mom, who pooled the money), there wasn't an assistant. [ Reply | More

yes, but what do I know. Anyway, will you be having any continuing contact with the school, or are you done with them at this point? if the latter, then it really doesn't matter. Actually, it still probably doesn't matter, as long as you give them something. [ Reply | More
