My 5 yr old ds is very needy - when I get mad at him he says "you don't love me". Before bed, he asks dh and me to tell him how much we love and like him...My dh and I are very affectionate..esp me. Why do you think he's so needy? I try to treat ds and #2 the same. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

How old is #2? Sounds as if, like most things a 5yo does, he's just trying to have some control over his surroundings. He also likes the attention, I'm sure, and knows he can get it by doing what he's doing. Pretty normal. [ Reply | More
