Do you think kids in public schools in NYC are at any sort of disadvantage compared with those in private schools when it comes to getting into a great college? Or is it more about the kid and what they're about? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think that kids in top public and private schools in the NY Metro area are at a disadvantage in a weird way since they are a dime a dozen. My friend worked in admissions at at very strong college and they could just only take so many Dalton, Stuy, etc. kids. It's hard to know. [ Reply | More
