Can someone please advise on how long it will take (and where I go) to find a good nanny. My baby is due 9/10, so I won't return to work until about the first of December. We are new to the area and this is my first baby. Thank you! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You really can't start more than a month beforehand [ Reply | More ]

I would try www.enannysource.com and www.nannies4you.com. It won't take you long to find one -- no more than a month. Good luck! [ Reply | More ]

Thank you! Do either of you know about how much pay is average? I would need a full-time nanny, because both of us work full time. [ Reply | More ]

Yes, I'm in Manhattan. Maybe 8-6 M-F. [ Reply | More ]

I would say between $11-15/hour. I assume you'll pay under the table. [ Reply | More ]

Hopefully, and thanks. I'll try not to worry about finding a nanny right now if it will really only take a month or so. [ Reply | More ]
