getting ready to ttc (not now, but next month hopefully). first month off bc cycle was 19 days. 2nd cycle was 26 days. fwiw I got pregnant not even one month off bc last time. wondering what this next cycle will be like and when we should go for it... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

if you really want to hit it right out of the gate, buy enough ovulation predictor pee sticks to take twice a day, every day for a month. that way you'll really know when the egg is getting ready to come out of the starting gate! (worked for me twice, fwiw) [ Reply | More

Well, no, but I started right afterward and actually ovulated on day 6 or 9 or something like that -- way earlier than I'd expected. Also, once I'd just stopped breastfeeding and hadn't even had a period yet, so I was really in the dark about whether I even had my cycle back yet. So, I'd say start right afterward. The tests will be specific, but generally they say NOT to use first morning urine, and to keep it consistent day to day. I think I did 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. [ Reply | More

no, you totally don't have to, in fact the directions will say to do it once a day, but after I did some reading and found that for some women, the hormone does more of a drive-by and is therefore only going to show up for less than 12 hours, I realized I'd rather spend the extra $ and just hit it the first time, kwim? try this: www.peeonastick.com (seriously! :)) [ Reply | More
