This is a really stupid question: I accidentally forgot to invite one kid from dd's preschool class to her bday party. Realized it after the fact and apologized to the mom. She seemed fine but she definitely knew that we'd forgotten (before we spoke about it.) Now dd has been invited to HER son's party at a very expensive place and I feel guilty knowing that she's being charged extra b/c she invited the whole class. Dd isn't especially close to her ds and would have no clue about missing the party but just as I was about to RSVP no it occurred to me that this might seem to be some kind of slight. I only care at all b/c our younger kids will be in the same class next year. Should dd skip it or go? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

ok - we'll go. actually, i'm trying to streamline the number of bdays we attend b/c, with 3 children all in various schools, it can get a little out of hand. but you're right - i shouldn't worry about her bill. [ Reply | More

lol - like i said above, i am trying to reduce the number of parties we go to overall just for sanity's sake. but also, i'm in the middle of planning my oldest's party and they can be ridiculously expensive. so, it's really not an excuse. i'm just overthinking everything. [ Reply | More
