Do I have a right to be mad about this? MIL promised that she, SIL and BIL would all stay in a hotel when they visited us next week. We are moving in about 3 1/2 weeks. She invited herself to our house, BTW. So now, she reluctantly got a hotel room for her and YSIL but wants BIL to bum on our couch. I find it such an inconvenience for us. We only have one t.v in living room. We have a downstairs master and I will be ovulating. To which my DH says he can't do it with BIL in the house. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I am with DH. We are going to do it whether BIL is in house or not and DH needs to shape up big time. He is such a sucker for his MOMMY, so sick of it. DH even confessed to me that we get " roped" into hosting all these get togethers and he doesn't know how it happens. [ Reply | More ]

I would be pissed. It's bad enough you are moving and need to get things together but to have to inconvenience your kids routine is just BULLSHIT. Tell him he can stay on the couch but be ready for the 6am wake up call from the kids [ Reply | More ]

Oh, I will make sure their uncle is woken up at like 6:30 a.m. I am not changing their morning routine, which is sucking on a sippy and catching Curious George, nor will I change my 2 year old's nap time which is downstairs in living room [ Reply | More ]

good for you. Your home isn't a hotel and if they are pushing for him to stay, he will have to pay (with less rest) [ Reply | More ]

OP here. My MIL goes up to see DH's sister without calling first. She goes up there uninvited about 3 times a year. She pretty much is starting to do that to us. I am beginning not to want to have any contact whatsoever with her, she can be nice but so pushy, I am sick of it. [ Reply | More ]

Just tell them that it isn't convenient to you and you would like to stick to the original plan. [ Reply | More ]
