7 mo has absolutely no interest in crawling or rolling over. He sits just fine and babbles all day, is engaged, smiles laughs, etc. All his little friends are crawling away. If I put him on his tummy, he pushes up, and flips onto his back where he is stuck. Worry? Let it go? Obviously, I'm a first timer here.... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

No worries. Crawling sucks, so you're better off. Neither of my DDs crawled. One crab-walked at 12 mos, and the other butt-scooted around 10 mos. They're 7 and 5 now and just fine physically. [ Reply | More ]

I had a but scooter too! She didn't start doing that until about 11 months. Older DD crawled at 10 months. I did have the younger one evaluated at 1 year and they basically told me I was neurotic...but it made me feel better! [ Reply | More ]

It was hard not to worry about the older DD. 12 mos! She was the youngest in her playgroup, too. By the time she became mobile, the other kids were starting to walk. But she was a very observing baby. She's still pretty observing -- and a fabulous runner. [ Reply | More ]

Both my dc's rolled for the first time at 7mo and crawled shortly after they walked at 13mo. Do not worry. [ Reply | More ]

I wouldn't be worried at all about him not crawling. if he doesn't roll over on his own w/in the next month and a half, I'd start to be concerned. [ Reply | More ]

one trick that I've heard is to put the toys just a bit out of the babies reach, and see if they can figure it out. [ Reply | More ]
