I am thinking of taking ds to school in the morning and have babysitter pick him up. I also looked at the afterschool program, it looks interesting. So I may sign him up for a couple of days. What's on your mind? [ Reply | More ]

I know one other Anderson dc in our nabe. Thought we could get a private van service, but it may not make sense $$ wise with just 3 kids. [ Reply | More ]

Wait until Monday to see how many in the K class are from Queens. Also, you might find some more from other grades that would be interested in the bus as well. [ Reply | More ]

Donna's email from yesterday suggested they were going to try to get class info out so that people in the same general areas could begin to have playdates over the summer, so hopefully they'll get that info out soon. See you all on Monday! [ Reply | More ]

What do you think about the rumored 36/14 girl/boy split? [ Reply | More ]

When the Yahoo G&T group did the poll, 99s appeared to be almost evenly split between boys & girls. 36/14 sounds pretty starkly lopsided. I hope there is more balance. We'll get a sense at the orientation events. [ Reply | More ]

Interesting. I didn't know about that group. Anyway, balance would be great, but it is what it is (and I would gladly send my ds there if he was the only boy in the whole school). See you Monday. [ Reply | More ]

who cares how many boys vs girls are in a class? Are your kids in need or a more balanced make-up? [ Reply | More ]

Western Queens? Why would you do that to your kid? Move to Great Neck, send to public school and be done with it. [ Reply | More ]

why can't you just accept the fact that our kids got in and yours did and BE DONE WITH IT? [ Reply | More ]

(though we didn't make it to A) From western Queens to Anderson takes just 30-40 mins drive (If triborough is not crowded, door to door could be less than 30 mins). So it'll be quicker than somebody commuting from lower Manhattan. [ Reply | More ]

Western Queens is closest to Manhattan. Eastern Queens is nearer to Great Neck. [ Reply | More ]
