unifying. (By the way, you meant to use e.g., not i.e. E.g. means "for example." I'm a writing coach, and I advise my students not to use e.g. or i.e. unless they are 100% confident they can use it correctly. Most people, like you, use the wrong one.) [ Reply | More ]

ita. i.e. basically means "in other words" and you should use it when paraphrasing or restating. [ Reply | More ]

In the context of the OP's question, she is using merging as an example of the kind of word she is looking for. E.g. would have been more correct. [ Reply | More ]

In my experience, unless you are a former Latin nerd or grammar nerd (double check here!), you just can't remember which one means which. That's why most people shouldn't use them. Use "for example" or "in other words." [ Reply | More ]

Hmm. You want to convey that by bringing them together you are making more than a sum of their parts. Leveraging? [ Reply | More ]
