2 kids later, i could no longer afford manhattan. i live in a northern burb. i would have to say that it was b/c of 9/11 in the sense that i decided that life was too short to be away from the people and the city i loved because of a job. so glad i did, too, b/c i was able to be near my mother in the last years of her life and dh was able to help with his father's care in the last years of his life. so although it has been a sad and difficult time in many ways, we definitely did the right thing in coming back [ Reply | More
