Most of the G&T programs i know of were grass roots develpment efforts by the parents - not created by the adin to bring in the middle class [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I live in District 6. Up here, parents have historically put their efforts into charter schools, not the G&T programs. [ Reply | More ]

How are the charter schools doing? Sometimes I wonder if that is the better way to go. [ Reply | More ]

Depends on the school obviously, and your own personal outlook/preferences. Personally I would have been fine with charter school in the early grades, but don't think it would have been good for middle school. But it depends so much on what you value in your kid's education, and what your child needs. [ Reply | More ]
