Can someone please tell me what being a Class Parent at a private preschool is like? What am I in for? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it's easy..so easy (at least imo). There were 3-4 classmoms. All we did was organize the class potluck (via email), collect money before xmas for the teachers gifts...that's basically it. The teachers were great with emailing the group with information we needed and so was the school. You are the liason btwn teacher and parent but in our private preschool, we really didn't get parents asking us Q's. That happens more when I was a classmom in my older dc elem. school [ Reply | More ]

depends on the school and the class. dh and I have both done it for ps and ongoing-some pita parents can make it annoying. more stuff at ongoing than in ps. there can be a lot of following up with people for class gifts, etc. just be respectful of others [ Reply | More ]
