My bf's dc got Anderson and I can't really talk to her much. It's not that I'm not happy, but I just don't want to think about it. She asked us to join her family for a picnic last night and I just couldn't got. Fortunately, she seems to be sensitive to this and hasn't mentioned it at all since she first told me. Ugh. BTDT-Hunter parent here--I was in your shoes a few years ago. Definitely keep it low key and don't ask where other kids are going. That only makes it look like you are waiting for them to ask where your child is going. Rejoice with your closest friends and family or on anonymous boards like this one, but keep it very low-key with others. [ Reply | More

I have just kept quiet about it. Have not volunteered the info, but all of our preschool friends asked. As the Hunter poster said, I really do believe it was sheer luck. I feel bad that some smart kids we know did not score high enough to have good choices. [ Reply | More
