I took prozac until I got pregnant and then switched to zoloft (I was told less of it comes out in your breastmilk.) twins are 5 and fabulous. [ Reply | More

And after, yes. I'd gone off prozac when ttc because of course ideally you're not taking anything. But I found I really needed it, and weighed the pros (having a sane mom) against the cons (I don't remember them but there were a few, albeit unproven at the time) and figured I'd be a crappy mom if I went off. It all worked out--my girls were in great health, not agitated or underweight or any of that. [ Reply | More

If I'm remembering correctly, there was data on zoloft not showing up in breast milk as much, and I think there wasn't data on prozac...I can't remember. I believe it was a psychiatrist who suggested I switch, if only for the length of the pregnancy and nursing. I did and it was not a problem. They're pretty similar, though. I think they just new more about zoloft at the time. [ Reply | More
