Just thought ahead to next year: DC qualified for G&T but our district doesn't start G&T until 1st grade. This year, schools designated for G&T were not announced until after the scores came out (last year's G&T schools did not appear in the list of this year's G&T schools, so there's no knowing what schools are actually going to be on the list next year). So, if they follow the same schedule next year, parents will have 2 weeks to tour those schools and make choices. If that's any consolation to Manhattanites, at least you know more or less your district G&T options. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]
