Does anyone have any experience about applying out of a public kindergarten program into private school -- specifically, what happens when the child needs to go on interviews, can you pull them out of school for a few hours, do you need to keep them out the whole day? Will a public kindergarten give you a hard time about the child missing school for interviews? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You don't have to tell them just write a note saying they are going on a Dr. Appt. The school can't do much in K because children are not legally required to attend until 1st [ Reply | More ]

I would think that the schools in Manhattan are used to this happening, to some extent. [ Reply | More ]
