DH wants to go away for a weekend with his best friend. We have a newborn and a toddler, and a tight budget. His friend lives locally, yet they want to fly across the country. Also, dh has been travelling for work quite a bit, and would be travelling the following week after his trip (he wouldn't come home in between). I really don't want him to go. The timing doesn't seem right. I was hoping he would realize this on his own. We had a huge fight about this last night. What do you think? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you are right. He needs to stop pretending to be single and be home with you since you need help..not only that but money is tight. Why can't he just do an overnight somewhere locally or put this off and revisit the idea later on this yr? [ Reply | More ]

he needs to stay his ass home especially since his work has him out of the home a lot. That's part of being a dad helping change the diapers, feedings, ect. The weekend away with his friend needs to wait. He should stay home that weekend and YOU go away overnight to a spa nearby [ Reply | More ]

you should do the same to him! You deserve a break too. Being a mom to 2 kids is alot of work non-stop 24/7!Go out w/ your friends regularly at least every other week w/o the kids!!! even if it's just for coffee or window shopping. Consider it a mental health day. [ Reply | More ]
