I think it all depends on the teacher you get. This holds true for every public, private, preschool in the universe. We were at IPS 35th street. Some years my kids got amazing off the charts teachers, some years were a fright sight. This holds true with my kids elem school. Luck of the draw. If it is convenient for you then I would go with IPS. I have friends whose kids got into brearley, chapin, friends, unis, etc. Most of them were held back a year and had to spend 1 year in IPS's holding pen at 45th street. [ Reply | More ]

I love IPS. Have 2 dcs at 45th Street. Very impressed by school and teachers. Nice environment...great mix of parents/kids (different professions, different ethnicities/backgrounds, etc.) [ Reply | More ]
