diagnose my child's ailment: she complains of aching jaw, or her "throat" hurts, then falls asleep at 10:00 AM. She normally doesn't nap at all. Age: 3 1/2. No fever. Still sleeping. I'm at work, nanny is relaying messages and updates. Level of my concern at this point should be....?? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

so, your child is in pain and more lethargic than usual, and you don't feel this is a reason to check it out? [ Reply | More ]

ugh, I hate pediatrician-crazy parents like you. You don't get tired of hearing "It's a virus. Make sure she stays hydrated"?? Learn to trust your isntincts. Not everything demands a trip to the doctor. [ Reply | More ]

my oldest daughter would get strep with NO symptoms, more than a few times. we'd figure it out when her younger sister would get horribly sick with a sore throat and violent fever. we'd go to ped, both would test positive for strep, both would respond nicely to amoxi, etc. completely diff reactions in siblings. go figure.
