poll: when did you start putting your baby down at night awake? right now my 12wo falls asleep after she eats and we carry her to the crib, she goes right to bed which is great but friends say she needs to learn to be put down awake [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

As long as your dc can fall asleep on their own sometimes ie doesn't always need to be held, rocked etc that is fine. Ideally your dc should be put down awake so they learn how to go to sleep on their own. If they can fall asleep on their own in the crib for naps then bedtime is less important. [ Reply | More
