We give our nanny 4 wks paid vacation per yr (Europe..). In the 3.5 months she has been with us I've already given her 5 paid weeks (We needed to travel). She just told me she booked a trip (without consulting on days) for 2.5 wks. This trip is booked right after another week we told her she;d be off in July. This means she is off the whole month of July. I really feel she is taking advantage of us. How would you deal with this? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

This is exactly what we do and it kills me but we pay our nanny for all of July while we are away, and most of August (and half of Decmber and March too). Always feel like she should at least throw in a few free evenings for all this, but doesn't really work that way. [ Reply | More
