We got our 3rd choice in G&T - PS 11. Have never toured it and still waiting for the 41/3 lottery fall-out. No idea what the heck to do. Same commute to all 3 schools. Any thoughts? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Do search or read posts below. So many posts about PS 11 G&T. I feel very positive about 11. BTW, We are in the same situation. Zoned 41/3(PS 3 called yesteday to register, so lottery is already done, I assume). However We take PS11. Going register today!! [ Reply | More

I'm in D2. I think 3 and 41 are both amazing schools. I'd go with the option closest to home for K and let kid enjoy the community. [ Reply | More

I think they are too, but I think that 11 g&t is also great. I would try the g&t and if it did not meet my expectations, then go to zoned school. You can't do it the other way around. I think 11 has the best of 41/3 - excellent (smart) peer group, small classes, advantage to ms apps [ Reply | More

I have an older child, but now that the DOE is committed to having a different curriculum for g&t programs - and truly making them different and appealing to the smarter children, I would take g&t over general ed. Not EVERY g&t over EVERY general ed, but the schools you listed. [ Reply | More
