would you take your 6 and 8 year old on a trip to alaska staying on a small ship for 12 people for a week. kayaking, hiking, glacier walks and wildlife viewing would be itinerary but you'd ultimately be hanging on the boat for 6 days. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

OMG no. They would go stir crazy on a boat for 6 days. If you really want to go I'd do one of the major cruise lines (we did this and although cheesy, I can't imagine being on a small boat)...our kids were 1, 3 and 5 at the time) [ Reply | More ]

maybe. are other kids coming? then yes! But as a parent that never travels w/out the kids, I wouldn't have booked unless I knew they would like it. I think my 7 and 9 yr old would love that trip, but my nearly 6 yr old would not. you know your kids. [ Reply | More ]
