its not the sats. its a test meant to find gifted kids. the brsa is pure readiness and very preppable. knowing its content and specifically teaching it to your dc is cheating IMO. [ Reply | More

np. Not at all. For the OLSAT I would agree with you, but the BRSA really is like the SAT; it's 100% about school readiness, NOT about finding giftedness. [ Reply | More

The comparison sections has children circle similar pictures. There will be a row of pictures with something like a cat, a shoe, a bike, a cat, a flower and the child is suppose to circle the two cats. [ Reply | More

Yes. He missed 9 total on the BSRA. I think 7 of them were in the comparisons section. It was weird because he is generally good with bigger/smaller, longer/shorter kinds of comparisons. Can't complain, though, as he still did well enough on the two combined to get a 99. [ Reply | More

I'm the one with the DD who bombed (same story, missed 9, 7 on the comparisons section). Considering retesting for next year, and wanted to hedge bets that perhaps she had a bad test day and will probably do better next year. If this weren't the case, I would not be so interested. [ Reply | More
