What does it take to get your driver's license revoked? One DUI? Many? Any clue how long a typical suspension is? A contractor that is in my house a lot is driven here by his parents and I don't have the nerve to ask why he can't drive. It's not a matter of $$ for a car, either. that's a good question. i doubt it, though. i know he's had some sort of trouble. his parents alluded to it but i can't tell if it's a gambling thing or a substance abuse thing. and i really only care b/c he's in my house and i have kids. [ Reply | More

It could be a lot of things - multiple DUIs, too many points for moving violations (excessive speeding tickets) or failure to pay child support. Suspension of license could be until the fines are paid or for a few years. If you really want to know, you'd have to ask. [ Reply | More
