old fashioned way. stopped eating out of habit. started moving around more instead of being so sedentary. i haven't lost that much weight but i went down a size already. and i have lots of room to cut back. i started slow and i can actually see it holding up. [ Reply | More ]

Yes (I'd lost before once with WW and once b/c of stress, but then always gained some back). I started counting calories (and researched how much I should be eatting) and exercised regularly (I had been exercising all along, but eating horribly, so I wasn't losing). It has been years now and I've kept it off (and lost after 2 PGs). I was going through a "transitional" time (new apt., new job) and was single (and not happy about it -- but also not sure that I wanted to date at that weight). I was turning 29 and something "clicked" and I told myself that this was part of being an adult. GL. [ Reply | More ]
