Anyone know anything about Rupert Towers, at 89th Street and 3rd Avenue? Safe area? Good for families? Good food nearby? TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Great area! Lots of family-friendly restuarants (Fetch, Corner Cafe and Bakery, Nick's), playgrounds (on Second Ave. and on Lex. Ave/96), children's stores and activities (92 Street Y, Craft Studio). [ Reply | More ]

Lived there prior to the conversion. Floors sloped down and windows were crap, bathrooms were crap and a/c through the walls. I have heard that many people have made improvements and the lobbies look much, much nicer. But, you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear. They're still ugly from the outside. [ Reply | More ]

Perfect places for families! Great family friendly restaurants nearby (Sarabeths, Parlor, Bellini). Close to Central Park, Museums, 92nd street Y, Asphalt Green, numerous playgrounds. I don't think you can get a better area for families in the city. [ Reply | More ]

Perfect building for families - the apartments are large with lots of closet space and they're reasonably priced. More bang for your buck. [ Reply | More ]
