There is a boundary, it's just not clear where it is. People are saying different things, which is why I'm asking here whether anyone has any concrete experience. [ Reply | More ]

I thought it was 5.5 miles from school, max, but maybe I'm wrong? [ Reply | More ]

All kids who live in Manhattan get free busing. There used to be a mile limit but they changed it mid year to include all kids who live in Manhattan. They will not transport kids across boroughs but I repeat - all kids who live in Manhattan get free yellow buses. [ Reply | More ]

except for the poor folks on Roosevelt Island who are part of district 2 but do not get yellow bus service. They have to buy a metro card to get over the river and then catch a bus there. [ Reply | More ]
