We will most likely be moving to Plainview, NY area within the next year or so. What preschools are good there? I heard about Miss Sue's, but when I checked them out, it seemed to me like the type of NYC private school I can't wait to escape...with the 1 year in advance sign up too! Any others anyone would recommend? And is Miss Sue's really that terrific anyway? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Thanks! I think we will move to Plainview itself, so I'm interested in preschools for my DS (he'd be 4 at the time). I'm looking for a nice program, but not too intense (it's preschool for crying out loud). Any suggestions? [ Reply | More

I don't know if you are Jewish (we are), but our DS is happy at the JCC. It is laid back, and a nice place to meet other families. Some Plainview families send their dcs to Midway Jewish Center, which is in Syosset. It is a much smaller program, but also well regarded. Miss Sues, is the most $$$, and not my scene at all either.
