Help! I just had dc #2 two weeks ago and I got a MRSA infection from being in the hospital (had a c-section). So they're putting me on heavy antibiotics, the nurse said breastfeeding was fine but I googled the antibiotics and the Mayo Clinic site says not to breastfeed while on them. What would you do? actually, I have been given misinformation twice by pharmacist. Don't trust them either. That is why we have doctors. [ Reply | More ]

I would ask my OB, but stay on them until you hear from OB. Also, check out Hale's site. He has the most info on bfeeding and meds. [ Reply | More ]

Ruth A. Lawrence is an authority on this. See if you find what she says about it. She tends to say that most things except the very harshest drugs (chemo, etc.) are OK. [ Reply | More ]
