Am weaning off Zoloft and in the past few weeks have developed eczema, something I've never had before. Anyone have similar experience? Was prescribed a steroid by MD, but we both figured it wasn't chronic (steriods shouldn't be used for protracted periods). Thoughts? Will the eczema stick around much longer after I finish weaning? it might not be related to the Zoloft, but could be a seasonal thing. I heard that a lot of people who have never had eczema or hayfever before are getting them this year due to the heavy amount of allergens in the air. [ Reply | More ]

OP - Good point. It's really driving me nuts though. I will call MD and ask for his opinion. Unfortunately think I will have to go to a dermatologist. [ Reply | More ]

eh, first try over the counter cortisone. Get the highest strength one they offer (it's really not that high in strength -- my dermatologist told me it doesn't penetrate the skin). If that doesn't help, see a derm. [ Reply | More ]
