my 3 month old started screaming/crying hysterically since yesterday. this is the first we've seen him this way. can anyone advise if this is normal?! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

could be the start of teething, could be gas, could be hungry/growth spurt. agree with poster below though, no harm calling your ped if you want. [ Reply | More

first make sure he's not sick (feels feverish? eating pooping peeing normally?). if not sick, is he getting enough to eat? might be growth spurt and he's extra hungry? is anything calming him down at all? does it seem like he's in pain? is he arching his back during feedings? when specifically is he crying? is it only in the late afternoon/evenings? literally all day/all night? what kind of cry is it? i'd call the ped. could just be normal baby weirdness, or growth spurt, or gas or teething, but if it feels abnormal to you, i'd have him checked just to make sure he's not in pain due to something wrong. [ Reply | More
