^^^ to clarify - he did this yesterday 3x and once today. i am getting really worried that something is wrong...but he seems fine in between...even tho it takes a while to console him. [ Reply | More ]

could be the start of teething, could be gas, could be hungry/growth spurt. agree with poster below though, no harm calling your ped if you want. [ Reply | More ]

only you can tell what is normal for your kid. if you are at all worried, call the pediatrician. [ Reply | More ]

first make sure he's not sick (feels feverish? eating pooping peeing normally?). if not sick, is he getting enough to eat? might be growth spurt and he's extra hungry? is anything calming him down at all? does it seem like he's in pain? is he arching his back during feedings? when specifically is he crying? is it only in the late afternoon/evenings? literally all day/all night? what kind of cry is it? OP:he seems to be eating/peeing/pooping normally. i'm wondering could it be an ear infection? i know nothing about this... he doesn't arch his back and it's not during certain times of the day... [ Reply | More ]

i'd call the ped. could just be normal baby weirdness, or growth spurt, or gas or teething, but if it feels abnormal to you, i'd have him checked just to make sure he's not in pain due to something wrong. [ Reply | More ]

OP: thank you ladies. he checked out fine with the doc and i am super relieved that as far as the doc could tell, there wasn't anything causing his screams and indeed may just be normal baby weirdness. thank you for telling me to go with my gut. [ Reply | More ]

my first guess is that he's overtired. [ Reply | More ]
