dw was in a car accident (rear ended) 2 weeks before dd was due; she had broken ribs, brusing, and injury to her eye (which has to be fixed by surgery); baby was fine, but it was a frantic 2 weeks until she was born. we hired a lawyer to negotiate a settlement. what is the claim worth? My parents were in a serious car accident and had brain injuries and my dad needed surgery -- and their insurance payments have been pathetic (and they have good coverage and a kick-ass attorney). I can't imagine that you'll get a lot (and it may be ages before you see any $). [ Reply | More
