I have to wait until August to get the letter from OSEPO saying my K DD got in PS 10 in Brooklyn from out of zone, although the school is saving her a spot. Couldn't attend orientation this a.m. cuz not "officially" in yet. Do you think they will courier us out letter? Should we give them our Cape Cod address? Won't be home until after Labor Day... OP: Because OSEPO announced mid-process that out of zone & district folks in D 15 at least had to submit a Placement Exception Request, where you have to give reasons for your need to switch. Many schools are just going ahead & registering, but not 10. However, OSEPO did tell them they will accept whomever they ask forever (which should include my dd). Such b.s. I have been trying to get OSEPO to just let her in NOW, but I guess in principal they could then just say well she is out of district & nix her despite what principal says.
