Need advice? Nephew's birthday soon. Brother is divorced - bad divorce. I think SIL is slowly distancing herself drom all of us. Asked her what to get for him and she said an AMEX gift card. Would you send a gc? I feel a little odd getting into that. Every year I'll just send money. I'm not sure I want to become that aunt. WWYD? how old is your nephew? At some point, $$ can be a great gift. If he is 3 though, not so much. I guess you may have to just keep trying. Tell her you understand why she left your bro. Try to be on her side as much as you can. Just don't give up. If she is hurting and angry, it may take awhile.
