all of this school talk has got me wondering -- did you attend a TT school before college? how did it work out for you? me? no -- a rinky dink suburban catholic school and then a pretty good new england boarding school. got into a decent college and an amazing grad school. what about you? I did -- and I went to a good (although not top 10 -- but top 20) liberal arts college (and my SAT scores were not great, but my recommendations were -- and my college advisor got on the phone and went to bat for me). The TT connection has helped me career-wise -- but that's b/c I went into education (and my alma mater can be an "ice breaker" in a professional setting). Has also helped socially (but that's b/c I returned to NYC). [ Reply | More
