So annoyed - I have been ttc for a long time now and just got a letter from my gyn's office saying that no one in the practice will be doing OB anymore. I hate that I have been having issues and now I have to start over with a new OB. Unsure why my doc would not have mentioned this. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Find a RE. OBs know little about fertility issues. See an expert, you might have been wasting your time with an ob. [ Reply | More ]

true - will likely get to that within the next month or so. More annoying that if I am actually pg this time I have no OB [ Reply | More ]

You'll find one, you'll get to know the person and trust them. But, yes, having to find new drs is a pita. [ Reply | More ]

Sorry you're having issues, but a new doctor isn't going to make much of a difference. You just have a new doctor. On the plus side, it could work in your favor if the new doc is more experienced with your issue [ Reply | More ]

that kind of decisions is almost always because of malpractice insurance premiums. it's easier to ensure that all patients are aware of the change by doing a mass-mailing, rather than discussing it with each individual patient (and it avoids the potentially difficult questions about the practice's finances). that stinks, but you know what -- a new OB may see something that your old docs overlooked. good luck. [ Reply | More ]
