Parents came over from Europe for a visit a week ago. Haven't seen my dc in two years. Within 24 hours started verbally attacking and criticising me, drank constantly, my father spent every possible second he could ignoring the kids, expected to be treated like royalty, nothing I do is ever good enough for them, ever. Too late for that, they left last week. The point if, no matter WHAT I do, they will complain to my entire family about me. I can never ever please them, it hurt coming to this conclusion, but it means I can also relax and stop trying. My dh said after they left, if we had treated them to an all expenses paid trip to a full service resort where the drinks were lifted to their mouths for them to sip, they would have found something to moan about. They are simply impossible to please. They are spoiled, and my father hates children. He hated me as a kid, I hoped he would treat my kids differently, but now I know he won't he won't get access to them again. [ Reply | More
