Anyone thinking of their passed away father today? I didn't have a great childhood but obviously today I can't stop thinking of him. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Yes, and I always do, I never really got a chance to know my father (died when I was an adolescent, after a long battle) but I sure wish he was around to meet DH and DC. F-day always makes me appreciate my FIL, who is sometimes a PITA but it's nice to sort of have a dad guy around, and he's a wonderful grandpa. [ Reply | More

i don't speak to my father because of abuse from when I was a child. I don't really think about him on most days, and today is really just another day. I don't make a big deal out of these sorts of days, but I make sure that dh knows we appreciate him (though I do that on other days too). [ Reply | More
