HELP! my newborn wont sleep, at wits end. 10 days old. takes HOURS to put down. goes from boob to boob to paci to rocking. totally overstimulated. first ds was not like this. HELP [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

put db in bassinet in bedroom. also, and I am not a product sort of person, but our 2nd db had a lot of congestion, so we got this slanted sleep positioner thing that was great. i think it was a snuggle nest maybe? we got one with an incline. people will tell you here that you need a miracle blanket but that never worked for my kids [ Reply | More

op: have been thinking the incline thing may be the way to go. going to get one tomorrow! she escapes her swaddle no matter how tight we make it, yet her arms stimulate her, so i think a miracle blanket may be needed too! [ Reply | More

Try keeping db in a dark and quiet room (torture for you, I know) as much as possible. For feedings, rocking, changing, etc. Cut down on stimulation. [ Reply | More
