DH has been out of town for two weeks and I have been caring for dc and my parents (with a nanny and a nurse during the day). Early Sunday morning, a friend called with a serious emergency. But I couldn't help her because I had no one to watch dc or my parents. Now she isn't speaking to me. I feel terrible, but I am up to my neck and have no more room to give! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Hopefully she'll cool off. She's in the wrong here. [ Reply | More ]

OP: Yes, my parents are ill. My father has had a series of strokes that have left him severely disabled and my mother has arthritis and can not walk anymore. I need someone to care for them during the day while I am at work. [ Reply | More ]

I'm so sorry, that sounds really tough. Your friend is having her own crisis, let's hope she realizes she was wrong once things calm down for her. [ Reply | More ]

Well that was a very efficient way to get rid of her - you certainly dont need someone like that bringing you down [ Reply | More ]
